Vertical Axis Wind Turbine Generators

Our company is concentrated on vertical axis wind turbines. Small wind power turbines are generally of two basic types; horizontal axis wind turbines (HAWT) and vertical axis wind turbines (VAWT).
Small wind turbines are considered ‘small wind’ if their power output is less than 100 Killowatts (KW) in accordance with the AWEA classifications for small wind. Actually, any turbine with output below 10 KW is generally considered a 'micro' wind turbine. Small wind power turbines are prevalent on farms, ranches, urban, metropolitan or coastal applications.
Vertical axis wind turbines (VAWT) are available in several different configurations. One very effective vertical wind turbine has been developed and you can view the movie on the system by clicking here. This durable design is a result of five years of development with prominent aerospace organizations and is now for sale.
This vertical wind turbine design is great for wineries, farms, ranches and other wind-prone areas to offset the increasing cost of electricity. Many coastal areas have very high winds that are often prohibitive for propeller based turbines. This vertical design makes more sense in high wind areas because the turbine does not need to stop if very high winds are present. It also does not harm birds, migratory waterfowl, or predatory birds. The birds see this as a wall and simply fly around it. The noise level is roughly 15dBA at 20 feet. It is omnidirectional in operation and handles turbulence nicely.

The picture below is a recent production unit model. While this one is white we can deliver any color desired to meet any ordinance or code restriction on color. Many municipalities and counties require certain colors that blend in to surrounding landscapes so we can satisfy that requirement as needed.
