Renewable Energy
What is "renewable energy" and why should I care about using these products?
Developed and developing countries continue to evolve in their uses of power. Coal-fired power plants continue to be a primary source of power in most of the world. While the reasons for climate change are in dispute no one can deny that we have become entirely too dependent on foreign oil. As the world’s use of energy has changed, so have the costs and methods of electricity generation. As a society we must endeavor to wean ourselves from foreign oil and develop new ways to generate electricity for society. The sooner we develop alternative and sustainable means of electricity production the sooner we can free ourselves from the strangleholds of foreign oil. We all must be a part of the solution to find new methods and resources of energy production whether it is PV solar, wind, hydro, biomass, geothermal or tidal/wave energy. The Federal government has not encouraged renewable technology growth until recently. Seemingly, we now have the funds to invest in the development and commercialization of alternative and sustainable energy methods.

This page can also connect you with the appropriate organizations for solar, wind and energy interests. We intend to be a serious resource that can help others in their renewable technology education.
